UNIVERSITY GENERAL HOSPITAL FIRST IN NATION TO UTILIZE EXCELYTE™ AS PRIMARY DISINFECTANT

Excelyte™ Kills Microorganisms Including MRSA, C. diff., E. coli., and Salmonella---HOUSTON, TX (November 17, 2008) – Integrated Environmental Technologies, Ltd. (OTCBB: IEVM) and University General Hospital Systems (UGH), through an exclusive industry arrangement with Benchmark Performance Group, Inc. (Benchmark), a leading specialty chemical company, have signed a comprehensive agreement to evaluate the disinfecting capabilities of Excelyte™ along with the disinfecting products currently in use in selected areas of the hospital, with the anticipation that Excelyte™ will ultimately replace all other disinfectants in all areas of the hospital. “We have been working with UGH and IET for some time and firmly believe that the use of Excelyte™ in this hospital environment will be more effective in eliminating microorganisms than other disinfectants. We know that Excelyte, and the very specialized EcaFlo® equipment that manufactures the product, is at the edge of discovery on a worldwide scale. So, we are elated to be a part of this world-changing process,” stated Wayne Kinsey, president of Benchmark Performance Group, Inc. Bill Prince, president of IET went on to say, “This is a great example of a major shareholder stepping up to help promote a revolutionary product in a new industry – we are very excited about the direction this project is going and the doors it will open for the introduction of the product into other markets in the near future.” Excelyte™, an oxidizing solution recently approved by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) as a hospital disinfectant, kills microorganisms such as mold, mildew, bacteria, mycobacterium, spores, fungi and viruses on contact. MRSA, E. coli, Salmonella, and M. Tuberculosis are some of the more commonly known bacteria susceptible to Excelyte™. Excelyte™ is also effective against Clostridium difficile (aka CDF or C. Diff), which is becoming an increasing problem in today’s health care industry. Test results indicate that Excelyte™ is up to 100 times more effective at killing bacteria than bleach, without any of the negative effects. Excelyte™ is not dangerous to humans or animals; it produces no noxious vapors or fumes; it requires the use of no personal protective equipment to apply or other special handling, and does not require any specific disposal techniques. One unique and important method by which Excelyte™ kills microorganisms is by physically destroying the cell structure. By bursting the cell’s membrane and disrupting the cell’s DNA, the microorganism is unable to mutate, preventing Excelyte™-resistant strands from ever developing. The same cannot be said for bleach, other chemical biocides, and many antibiotics. A colorless, aqueous solution, with a slight chlorine or ozone odor, Excelyte™ can be transformed into a gelatinous solution if desired, sprayed directly onto desired areas or fogged and misted for application in large areas. A new, state-of-the-art EcaFlo® C-104 machine will be installed in UGH’s hospital facility in Houston to produce the volumes of Excelyte™ necessary to supply the hospital’s requirements. The EcaFlo® equipment is specially-designed by IET to produce the environmentally-friendly and completely “green”, safe and effective biocidal agent, marketed by Benchmark as Excelyte™. UGH will be the first hospital in the nation to implement Excelyte™ as its primary disinfecting solution. The hospital, in cooperation with the Sybaris Group, which holds the current cleaning services contract with the hospital, will begin using Excelyte™ in specially-designated areas of the hospital as early as November 24, 2008. Kelly Riedel, CEO of University General Hospital stated, “At University General Hospital, we endeavor to be the premier provider of hospital services, while utilizing technological advances in all areas of healthcare. The hospital was designed to suit the most exacting requirements of superb, state-of-the-art medical treatment, while pampering patients and families with an inviting environment that encourages relaxation and healing. As an innovative hospital, we are consistently seeking new knowledge and we strive to pioneer innovations for the good of our patients. Today we have demonstrated this commitment by being the first hospital nationwide to use Excelyte™ as our primary disinfection solution. The benefits we expect to see from using Excelyte™ will not only keep the hospital ahead of the curve, but also continue to expand the ways in which the hospital provides the most efficient delivery system for all of our health care services.” The Excelyte™ solution has been EPA-approved for use as a high-level biocide or disinfectant not only in the healthcare industry, but also in veterinary practices; the food services industry; the hospitality industry; the travel industry; schools, daycare facilities and nurseries; recreational facilities; the oil and gas industry and many more. Excelyte™ has also recently been used in hurricane disaster clean-up and sanitation efforts. Excelyte™ can be used in any application where one would traditionally use bleach or another disinfectant.
